NFL's Chris Smith Passes Away at 31

Former NFL player Chris Smith has sadly passed away at the young age of 31.

He played for 8 seasons in the NFL for teams including the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans.

He was playing for the XFL’s Seattle Sea Dragons this season.

A cause of death was not released, per ESPN. This is not the first tragedy the Smith family has endured. In 2019, Chris‘ partner Petara Cordero was struck and killed by a car right in front of him after they had some car trouble on the side of the road. Just four weeks prior to this tragedy, Petara had given birth to their daughter, Haven Harris Smith.
