Ireland seafood sector valued at $1.4 billion in 2022, up 4% over 2021

DUBLIN, Ireland: The value of Ireland's fishing industry increased to $1.4 billion in 2022.

This was a 4 percent increase over 2021, according to officials.

The increase in revenues flowing from the fishing industry has been largely attributed to increased demand among Irish consumers, as well as in restaurants, along with rising prices caused by inflation.

Additionally, the government invested $26
