Great white shark tracked off New Jersey coast

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) --- A great white shark that is longer than 10 feet and weighs about 700 pounds was recently tracked off the New Jersey Shore, researchers said.

The shark's tracker pinged near a ship bottom about 15 miles from Long Beach Island, according to the nonprofit OCEARCH. The organization estimated the shark traveled more than 7,600 miles.
