Belle Dingle shocked as her villain ex returns to the village in Emmerdale
BELLE Dingle has taken a backseat from all the drama in the Dales but she’ll soon be thrown back into the spotlight.
The character played by Eden Taylor-Draper is due for a shock when her villain ex Tom King makes his way back to Emmerdale.
Ellis Chapman’s exit from the eponymous village last year was a shock to Belle Dingle as the hunk suddenly packed up and left for a job opportunity in Australia.
Since then, her life has remained somewhat quiet although she was involved in exposing Chas Dingle for her affair with Al Chapman.
But there’s a shake-up in the ITV Dales next week and it all begins with a mysterious figure watching Belle.
When the figure later bumps into Belle, it’s revealed that Tom King has come back to the village.
Belle and Tom naturally flirt with one another and catch up and when he asks her for a drink, there’s a glint in her eye.
The pair agree to meet up the following day, but how will the rest of the Dingle family react to Tom’s return?
Regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will remember that Tom and Belle embarked on a relationship in 2013.
They kept the romance secret but, eventually, Belle’s loved ones found out and were completely opposed to them seeing each other.
This was due to Tom’s poor treatment of Chas Dingle, whom he stalked as revenge for the death of his father Carl King.
Tom King resided in Emmerdale from 2004 to 2010 as his mother Colleen took him and his sister Anya to Saudi Arabia with her.

They returned in 2012, following Carl’s murder and finding out the truth about the ordeal was a devastating blow to the young Tom.
Tom left a year later, stealing a camper van to flee the village after a failed attempt at running away with Belle.
The police found the camper van at the airport and Jimmy King found out from Colleen that Tom had returned home, safe and sound, before locking himself in his room, refusing to speak to anybody.
Next week, James Chase will be reprising the role from Mark Flanagan but how will the character’s return play out?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
