I tried the new ‘facelift’ facial loved by celebs like Emma Willis and Vick Hope – results left me speechless

HAILED by celebs as the must-have treatment before awards season, CACI’s newest beauty tech has landed in Scotland.

The CACI Micro-Touch facial is a favourite with gorgeous telly presenter Emma Willis and Calvin Harris’s stunning radio DJ fiancee Vick Hope.

Now Scots can get in on the act and sample the latest in non-surgical face lift treatments.

So when CACI got in touch and offered us the chance to try it out, I jumped at the opportunity.

As a busy, 40-something working mum to a toddler, my beauty regime often takes a back seat.

And I’m not brave enough to opt for needles or fillers to rejuvinate my tired-looking skin.

So a facial which promised to tighten and sculpt sounded perfect.

The treatment combines CACI’s signature muscle-lifting techniques with microcurrent technology – which sends tiny electrical currents through the skin in a bid to reverse the signs of ageing – and targeted facial massage.

To do this the therapist wears special ‘electro gloves’, made from a conductive silver material transmitting the currents through the fingertips.

I was trying it out at Nine Zero salon in the south of Glasgow.

My therapist Kristy explained how the CACI treatment is different from a normal facial – which she described as ‘fluff facials’. With the microcurrent version, there is a real change to the skin as she manipulates and retrains the muscles to lift and tone.

When she started, it was one of the oddest sensations I’ve experienced. It wasn’t unpleasant, just unusual.

There was a strange metallic taste in my mouth as she began massaging my face with the ‘electro gloves’ on, as well as a slight fizzing sensation and the hint of a flashing light.

It felt bizarre to begin with but I quickly got used the feeling on my skin and relaxed into it.

By the end of the hour I felt fully chilled and my skin felt super fresh.

And looking in the mirror I could already see a difference. A deep line I usually have at the side of my mouth had smoothed as had the skin across my nose and cheekbones.

Kirsty said the treatment would keep developing for 24 hours – and I could really see the difference when I put on my make-up the next day.

Clients are encouraged to have around six treatments to feel the full benefit. CACI treatments range from £17 to £92 at the salon.

I would 100 per cent go back for more – if you’re not quite ready for needles, this is a great way to put the spring back in your face.
