Re: Further detail on this new stadium from Mox
RagsWe will see I guess. But from what I understand at this stage he very much is involved, not leading but involved.
RagsI think we’ll all find out soon enough but their are some other interesting people involved in pulling this together including the new CEO of the Saudi Pro League, a Mr Gary Cook.
The Bloomberg piece is only the start of information that will be “leaked” to our pressure on the sale to be pushed through sooner rather than later. The stadium move is very interesting and I’d assume their is a decision deadline in place on that aspect.
We have incredibly well connected business people involved in this consortium and whilst some people may not like it, anyone buying the club will buy it and run it as a business, which is what we have lacked the last ten years, experienced business people who can turn a profit. From a resume perspective; Head of sales reporting to the board who turned Microsoft into the biggest technology player globally and then did the same at Motorola, CEO of PGA European Tour and some of the biggest businesses in Canada, a hedge fund manager that bought one of the biggest car hit companies on the planet and double the size of its bottom line and capital, and this is all we know so far. I would much prefer this type of consortium than a sheik or a oligarch. These are people who understand the responsibilities needed to rebuild the business and the club, and attract further investors from both local business and globally.
Gary Cook is not involved at all, not in any way.
This has been questioned, proven and verified and Mr Mayor is going to have a LOT of egg on his face if Gary Cook IS involved.
"We will see I guess"
Yes ... and, to be honest, i was told the same thing early on ... but Mayor's contacts are impeccable and if he insists that he's not ive dropped the whole idea
Who fact checks and the fact checkers?
