Hayward: Two dead in shooting, Mission Boulevard closed
HAYWARD – An overnight shooting along Mission Boulevard left two people dead and two injured and prompted police to close a portion of the thoroughfare early Saturday morning as they investigated.
Few details were available about the shooting Saturday morning, other than that it occurred in the 21200 block of Mission Boulevard and followed an altercation, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office reported. While the motive remains unclear, the sheriff’s office said the shooting appears to be “targeted” and doesn’t constitute a safety concern for the general public.
