2 Killed, 10 Hurt in Madrid Restaurant Fire
Emergency services reported on Saturday that two individuals were killed and ten others were hurt in a restaurant fire in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The fire broke out late Friday night at the Italian restaurant Burro Canaglia Bar & Resto in Salamanca’s centre quarter.
According to a witness who spoke to El Pais newspaper, the incident began when a server lit a dish on fire, which caused the flames to spread to the walls and roof.
According to rescue officials, diners tried to escape as the fire broke out close to the main exit.
Police in Spain are looking into what started the fire.
