Moment man ‘carrying a gun’ is knocked off his motorbike by police car before armed cops swoop in and arrest him
THIS is the shocking moment armed cops knock a man allegedly carrying an imitation firearm off his bike.
The man was sent flying through the air after a police car ploughed into him during a high-speed chase.
He lands flat on his back and writhes in pain on Weelsby Street in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
Seconds later machine gun-wielding cops swept in from multiple vehicles to arrest him.
Police – in undercover and standard response cars – chased after the suspect following reports he was carrying a firearm.
They gave chase through the streets before he was taken out in the Tuesday carnage.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: “Lewis Durkin, 27, Harold Street, Grimsby, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or fear of violence…
“Possession of a bladed article, possession of cannabis, attempt to escape lawful custody and assault of an emergency worker.”
Durkin was remanded in custody following the chase and appeared in Grimsby Magistrates’ court on Thursday.
