More than 1,200 guests attended the Axis Connects' hosted Calgary Influential Women in Business Awards gala on April 13 at the Telus Convention Centre. Premier Danielle Smith provided opening remarks, adding to the cache of the black-tie event. This was the fourth year the awards have been hosted, but the first time it raised more than $1 million to fund programs dedicated to advancing women in leadership roles across myriad industries.
