Hairdresser shares quick messy bun hack but everyone agrees there’s a major flaw in her method

A HAIR expert has revealed her “favourite messy bun hack” but everyone has spotted the same issue with it.

Trichologist Aktabavalia’s method created a bouncy and beautiful bun on top of her head. 

But people were quick to point out that the hack will only work properly if you have enough hair to begin with. 

Sharing a tutorial on TikTok, Aktabavalia started by tying a ponytail on top of her head.

She then pulled the length of it forward so that it was covering her face and used another hair band to secure the position. 

The third step is the most complicated.

Aktabavalia tied the end of the hair hanging over her face and split it into two sections inside the hairband to create a hole.

She then flipped the hair over before pulling it back and looping the makeshift bun on top of her head through the hole. 

And while the method created a classy bun on her head, viewers were quick to point out it wouldn’t work for them.

One joked: “I have three hairs to my name.”

A second said: “Bold of you to assume I have that much hair.”

A third quipped: “Your first mistake was thinking I had three hair ties AND another hair to do this with.”

The haircare expert’s method also rustled feathers amongst women with thick hair.

One moaned: “I have too much hair. 

“So if I do this, it would be a knotty mess.

“So cute, though.”

Another asked: “What if your hair is down your back and is extremely thick?”

Aktabavalia assured that the method is quick to do and you can pin bits of your hair in place to get it to your desired look. 

Her tutorial has racked up an impressive 1.2 million views. 

It clearly impressed a number of people because almost 60,000 viewers liked the short clip.
