Earlier this week, Luca Brecel became just the fourth non-British winner of the World Snooker Championship in the modern era (1969 onwards) and as a Belgian, the first ever mainland European to win the title. Brecel was in tears after holding off a Mark Selby fightback to win 18-15 and hopes the result can herald a new era.
