Over the last few years, there has been a lot of talk about banning gas installations in new residential buildings, but New York is the first state to put this plan into action. The state has now passed a ban on gas stoves, furnaces, and propane heating in new buildings, in favor of environmentally-friendly appliances, such as heat pumps and induction stoves.
