Today’s weather: Blustery, rain on the way
On Friday the weather will be partly cloudy with possibility of light rains, mainly in mountains. In the late afternoon there will be increased low cloud cover with rains possible on the west coast. Winds will be north-easterly to south-easterly, moderate to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. Local winds will temporarily be very strong, up to 6 Beaufort. In the late afternoon, winds will shift to southerly to south-easterly of the same intensity. The sea will be rough. Temperatures will rise to around 31 C in the interior, 29 C on the coasts and 23 in the higher mountains.
On Friday evening the weather will be cloudy with isolated rains expected, mainly in the western half of the island. The winds will be south to south-westerly, moderate to strong, up to 5 Beaufort, weakening later. The sea will remain rough. Temperatures will drop to 14 C in the interior, 18 C on the southeast and east coast, 16 C on the remaining coasts and 8 C in the higher mountains.
On Saturday and Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with localised showers and isolated thunderstorms expected, especially during the midday hours and afternoon, and possibility of hail.
On Monday, the weather will remain partly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms expected.
Saturday will see a noticeable drop in temperature with a further drop on Sunday, falling below average for the season. On Monday, a small rise in temperature is expected.
