Erik ten Hag highlights where Man Utd must improve for West Ham clash

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag want his players to stay focused ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against West Ham United on the road.

The Red Devils played out an entertaining game at Brighton & Hove Albion last night and they eventually lost after conceding a last-minute penalty.

Speaking after the 1-0 defeat, Ten Hag said that Antony, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro all had chances to find the back of the net.

The Dutch tactician added that he has no concerns but it’s more about keeping focus and ensuring that the team don’t lose games in the dying minutes.

He told Manutd.com: “We had clear chances with Antony dos Santos, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Casemiro. They all create opportunities and one has to be in. I don’t have concerns.”

“It’s about keeping the focus and we shouldn’t lose the focus in the final and dying seconds of the game. Then we take that point and, in the end, if you can’t win it because you don’t finish your chances, then don’t lose.”

United still in control of their Champions League fate

Despite the last-gasp defeat at Brighton, United remain in a strong position to finish in the top four.

The Red Devils are currently on 63 points after 33 games, four ahead of Liverpool with a game in hand.

Hence, they have their Champions League destiny in their own hands but can’t get complacent.

Ten Hag will be eyeing a strong response when his players take on the Hammers at the London Stadium.

It could be another tricky challenge and United must capitalise on their scoring opportunities on goal.

United have had the upper hand over the Hammers over the years and should be favourites again.

The club have won by a one-goal margin in the last four league meetings against David Moyes’ side.
