Larnaca gallery welcomes new solo show

Each spring is a new season for art. Leaving behind the cocoon of the winter months and re-energising before the summer madness hits, spring is when creatives and artists make their appearance again,. This May, it is time for a Larnaca-based gallery to open up its doors as it welcomes the latest solo exhibition by artist Kelly Norman.

Titled Strictly Landscape, Norman’s exhibition at the O Gallery will officially open on Saturday and run until May 26, showcasing her recent works. Written in her artist’s statement, Norman notes: “I find that pushing paint around a canvas en plein air is representative of the way that I move through a landscape. The visual ideas that I want to convey in charcoal and paint are of being present and of moving through space, my vision constantly changing. By exploring mark making, colour blocks, texture, line, and form through my paint-play, I hope to express the freedom and lyricism of joy that I feel when walking.”
