Weekend Whipper: A Miscalculated Dyno on a Red Rock Classic
Readers, please send your Weekend Whipper videos, information, and any lessons learned to Anthony Walsh, awalsh@outsideinc.com.
Keep Your Powder Dry is a classic 5.12b in Red Rock Canyon. It starts on jugs before serving up big moves on good holds—and a great photo-op. In this week’s whipper, Jesse Adams lines up for the famous dyno and launches with gumption, only to latch the chalky edge’s outer rim and face the music of his momentum. I guess you could say… he should have kept his powder dry. (Cue the sad trombone.)
Happy Friday, and be safe out there this weekend. Thanks to Allen Warner for the fun video.
