Prince William & Kate Middleton Surprise Locals at The Big Lunch After Coronation Ceremony

Kate Middleton and Prince William are making a surprise appearance!

The Prince and Princess of Wales surprised fans who appeared for The Big Lunch 2023 along the Long Walk outside Windsor Castle on Sunday (May 7) in London, England.

The Eden Project created the event, which is meant to “boost community spirit, reduce loneliness and support charities and good causes,” via People.

Kate wore a light blue blazer by Reiss over a white top with black pants and sneakers. The two drank out of Union Jack cups, and William was given a can of beer featuring his dad, King Charles.

“It was a lovely family atmosphere. William and Kate were really relaxed straight from the get-go. They were posting for selfies and talking to kids wearing crowns,” an observer told People.

It was a “great party…as soon as word went around that they were there, people descended onto the area around the Long Walk.”
