Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole called NCP leader Ajit Pawar's remark "surprising," who said that Patole resigned as Speaker in 2021 without consulting then CM Uddhav Thackeray. Patole said that it was not the time to get into ifs and buts and instead focus on taking the state's progressive ideology forward. After the Supreme Court judgement on the political crisis, Patole met with former Party Chief Rahul Gandhi to discuss Maharashtra politics, the party organisation and how to make the Congress the number one party in the state, he said.
