The Meghalaya government's purchase of a significant number of buses for transporting school children has been commended by the high court for its efforts in reducing traffic congestion in Shillong. The state purchased 30 buses for the transportation of school children and officegoers, which eliminate the requirement for individual cars to pick up or drop off students at school.
