The next phase of the assembly elections is in the key heartland states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh where tribal voters play a crucial role. Like Karnataka, Congress is the main opponent of BJP in all the three states, and it dominated among the tribal voters in 2018. The three states account for 101 ST reserved assembly seats out of which Congress won 71 seats while BJP won 26 and the rest was won by others.
