ITV confirms return of beloved talent show this summer with celebrity line-up
ITV has confirmed the return of one of its beloved talent show with an all new time slot after previously only being a Christmas special.
Long-term coaches Ronan Keating, will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones, The Voice Kids will be here this July.
ITV’s The Voice Kids has been confirmed to return for another season but this time will be hitting our screens in the summer instead of Christmas.
Hosted by Emma Willis, 47, the format will remain the same with a number of talented young singers hoping to make their mark.
The series starts every year on Boxing Day and then runs for three consecutive nights until a winner is found.
Last year it was 14-year-old Israella Chris who was crowned the champion.
Israella delivered a series of powerful performances throughout the series, starting with her audition, which was a rendition of Georgia On My Mind by Ray Charles.
For her final battle, she sang How Great Thou Art, an old hymn featured on Carrie Underwood‘s gospel album, and had nearly everyone in tears.
After being announced that she had won the competition, Israella said: “Thank you all so much for believing in me and I really hope I made you proud”
Pointing to the other finalists she added: “I wanna thank these guys over here.
“You guys brought the fire this year!”
Her coach, Pixie Lott expressed her pride by saying: “Oh my goodness, Israella is so special, such a raw talent.”
This win made Pixie the most successful coach in the show’s six seasons.
For her efforts, Israella won a trip to Universal’s Orlando resort.
However, Emma stunned the remaining three finalists by revealing that they would all be going on holiday too.
Israella is also expected to receive a bursary of £30,000 to go towards her musical education.
The money is intended to support and encourage the winner’s musical ambitions – laying the foundations for future singing success as an adult.
