I’m a pro cleaner and have mastered how to remove mould from the grimiest bathrooms & there’s zero scrubbing involved
MOULD can appear in your bathroom out of seemingly nowhere and it can take a lot of elbow grease to get rid of it.
But it turns out there’s a really simply solution to get rid of it – and there’s no scrubbing involved.
Cleaning guru Vanesa Amara recently explained how to get rid of bathroom mould like a pro, and it’s more simple than you might think.
Before getting on with other cleaning tasks, quickly spritz some mould and mildew remover spray over the mouldy spots – Vanesa used Clorox with Tilex, but any brans you like should do the job.
“While we clean the rest of the house, the shower has some mould, so what am I going to do? I’m going to spray some Clorox plus Tilex and allow it to sit there so when I come into the show I’m not killing myself,” the cleaning queen explained.
“This shower does need a lot of help, we’re going to allow this thing to sit in here for about couple of hours, at least,” she added.
She sprayed the solution directly over the spots of mould and left it for a couple of hours before rinsing it away.
The mould should then be loose and easy to remove because the products had time to properly work.
A lot of cleaning products will already have a recommended time to let them work before wiping away, but you can usually leave them longer too.
Spraying cleaning products on just to wipe them straight off might be ok if there isn’t much dirt or grime to get rid of, but when it comes to mould you’ll want to make sure it’s all gone.
After sharing the hack on Instagram fellow cleaning fans were left impressed and wanted to put it to the test in their own homes.
One commented: “Yes I love that spray, I let it sit and do something, then come back I just rinse out the whole shower and it’s gone – no more mould scum and mildew. Love it.”
A second agreed: “I did this yesterday and it really works!”
“I use toilet gel with bleach, let it sit for an hour then scrub,” another wrote.
And someone else said: “Bought this on your last recommendation, it works!
“Yes! I love this stuff and it really works,” commented another.
