Computer manufacturer Asus loves to create eye-catching laptops. After all, this is the company that released a leather laptop back in 2019.
One of their most interesting products is the ROG Flow Z13. This is a hybrid tablet-laptop built for gaming — it manages to stuff heavy gaming power into a slim, portable form. The upcoming 2023 model will even have an Nvidia RTX 40-series graphics card, which is currently the absolute best on the market. It's an incredibly unique piece of hardware.
ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT02 is a mouthful of a name, which is just one reason why I've taken to just calling it the "Asus Alien." The other reason? To put it simply: The Z13-ACRNM looks like it came from an alien civilization. Check out below what this one-off laptop looks like.
If you want one, you're out of luck: it's sold out. However, you can still get the standard version minus the out-of-this-world design.
As soon as I take the Z13-ACRNM out of the box, I'm struck by its ultra-reflective casing.

It's covered in strange markings and engravings, and it comes with a built-in kickstand.

Things get even weirder when I look at the keyboard. Almost every key has a weird alien-esque symbol on it, and the spacebar is just called "VOID."

It's a bit disappointing to boot the laptop up and realize it's just running a regular copy of Windows 11.

But alongside its weird design, the Z13-ACRNM is also a powerful gaming PC.

The laptop has an Intel Core i9 CPU and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, which are both high-end pieces of hardware. This means it can run games like Cyberpunk 2077 with ease.

It's also got enough power to run multiple visual design apps, like Illustrator or even Blender, at the same time.

It also comes with an app called Armoury Crate that lets you overclock your GPU for even more graphical power.

But the Z13-ACRNM is more than just a weird gaming tablet. It also comes with a set of straps that hook onto the sides of the screen.

These straps turn the Z13-ACRNM into "streetwear" fashion, letting you wear the laptop like a messenger bag...

Hold it like a briefcase...

Or hang it off your neck and against your torso.

However you use it, the Z13-ACRNM definitely seems like more of an art piece than a real laptop.

Just look at the model Asus hired to showcase the laptop — even they look like they've come from another planet.

If you're interested in buying a similar gaming tablet without all the alien aesthetics, check out the standard ROG Flow Z13.

As mentioned, the Asus ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT02 is a limited-edition product, and it's already sold out.
But the standard ROG Flow Z13's 2022 model is available from retailers like Amazon and Best Buy right now. As mentioned, it's a powerful but portable laptop, great for creatives and gamers on-the-go.
The newer 2023 model — which will include an RTX 40-series GPU — is set to release at some point in the next few months.
