Eerie moment mystery ‘Black Triangle’ UFO is spotted by US Marines above military base in footage sent to Pentagon probe
A BLACK triangular UFO was photographed flying over a military base in a mass sighting with up to 50 witnesses, an investigator has said.
Documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell and veteran journalist George Knapp released the footage on their podcast Weaponized.
Photos and videos appear to show a triangle shape dotted with lights as it flies over the Mojave Desert in California.
The shape – which is said to have been half the size of a football pitch – was spotted in the sky near the US military training range and camp at 29Palms.
Corbell and Knapp said the encounter lasted for around 10 minutes – with the object first appearing around 8.20pm.
And then as quickly as it appeared, the silent stationary object is said to have “blinked out” or “disappeared”.
It is claimed the military fired illumination rounds towards the object – and forces they spent three hours searching for the object.
And the Pentagon’s new UFO investigation unit has been notified of the incident, according to Corbell.
The encounter occured on April 20, 2021, but footage was only released today by Corbell and Knapp.
“Fifty plus people were coming out and looking. Those lights appeared out of nowhere,” one US Marine told Weaponized.
“[People] were just kind of like baffled. Nobody could recognise it.”
The marine described the object as a “black triangular shape” with lights underneath.
He said the lights could be not flares or any other type of military illumination tech.
And he described helicopters “hauling a**” towards the object before circling the area.
Another US Marine said: “This was something none of us had ever seen before.”
He described a convoy of trucks also heading to the location where the object had been seen.
“I couldn’t tell you [what I saw]. I just know its not anything that I recognised or any of my close friends recognised,”
“I don’t think it was anything US military – definitely some time of UFO. I am trying to figure out how what the hell that was.”
“Black Triangles” are a commonly reported shape of UFO – with the most famous sighting perhaps being the so-called “Phoenix Lights“.
The massive object is reported to have been seen by thousands of people on March 13, 1997.
And other so-called “Black Triangles” have been spotted around the world, including a flurry of sightings in the UK and Europe in the early 90s.
It has been speculated the shapes could be top secret technology used by the US.
The Mojave encounter is the latest UFO sighting linked to the US military amid growing interest in Washington around the traditionally fringe topic.
It is unclear exactly what the object could be – and it fuels the ongoing intrigue.
US officials have even set up a new office to probe UFOs – now often called Unidentified Aerial Phenomena – called the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
Mr Corbell said: “Due to the location of this mass UFO sighting – within the restricted airspace of one of our active United States military installations – significant amounts of data was accumulated and includes radar, thermal, electro-optical and signature intelligence.
“This case had NOT been properly reported through the active United States UAP investigation channels; under the authority of the Department of Defense’s AARO.
“AARO has now been informed of this presumed incursion. If the public wants to understand more about this UAP encounter – we will need to encourage our representatives to ask questions and push for answers.”
