MARTIN Lewis has come under fire after swearing on a BBC show.

The 51-year-old appeared on the latest episode of BB1 programme Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg when he let a naughty word slip.

Martin and Conservative MP Jake Berry came to blows as they discussed water pollution on the programme.

“It was nice after your questions to finally be able to say accurately that was a politician definitely talking crap,” Martin said.

And one viewer was very unimpressed with his choice of words and took to Twitter to point it out.

It said: “Is that how the BBC likes to rewards it’s chosen commentators now, by showing clips where the word ‘crap’ is used? Utterly pathetic from @MartinSLewis and @BBCNews for producing/endorsing yet another example of garbage standard tv. @Ofcom @lucyfrazermp @RobbieGibb @JakeBerry.”

Martin was quick to defend the Beeb and quoted the tweet on his profile and said: “Don’t blame the BBC it was a live programme. I said the words. If they upset you I’m responsible.”

This isn’t the first time that it has happened.

The money saving expert had to apologise for his bad language when he swore at Ofgem about energy prices.

Last year he claimed that they are a “f****** disgrace”.

He later took to Twitter to apologise.

Martin said: “I’d like to formally apologise to the @ofgem staff for losing my rag in a background briefing just now and saying its changes are a ‘f****** disgrace that sells consumers down the river.

“I should’ve behaved better. My ire’s institutional not individual, its was inappropriate…”
