India has achieved a 13% reduction in TB incidence and a 15% reduction in mortality rate from 2015 to 2022, surpassing global reduction rates of 10% and 5.9%, respectively. India is also the only country that has developed its own method to estimate its TB disease burden. The country intends to eliminate TB by 2025, five years earlier than the UN Sustainable Development Goal.
