China is pushing its strategic projects in Myanmar with an eye on access to the Indian Ocean Region and expanding presence in India's eastern neighbourhood notwithstanding the fact that projects yield limited profits. A number of projects funded by China in Myanmar have been stalled but Beijing remains invested with long-term strategic goals.
