Wasn’t the greatest day to play soccer, spurs came to play. We started the game on fire missing a couple of good chances in front of goals.
We lost mya to a ankle injury in first half but our girls kept battling on, the game ended in 0-0 special mention goes to daisy who fought hard all day and also the girls in defence who also never gave up . See everyone at training Tuesday Go spurs
Div.3 Men
Over 35s Men
With a full squadron of players we flew out of the blocks and dominated the first half. Brad took advantage of some sloppy play by Di-A-Monds and calmly volleyed the ball into an open goal to give us the lead at the break.
The second half the Di-A-Monds came at us with more aggression and pressure. We coped with most that came our way but they worked a nice goal and leveled the score. Then T-Bone had a brain aneurysm and palmed a cross away which lead to a penalty and subsequent goal for the Di-A-Monds to take the lead.
To the team’s credit we kept battling away trying get a goal back and was unlucky a few times not to score, with Irish hitting the upright and missing one just wide.
Lee starred again in goals and we deserved a point from the game against the top team this week but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.
Heads up lads. With our best available team we can beat any and every side in the comp that lose to us on the day
