Umpire cam shows how impossible it is to hit a Spencer Strider fastball

You don’t need an umpire’s view with a camera to know that Spencer Strider pitches are nearly impossible to hit.

But, thanks to that look from an 11-4 Atlanta Braves win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday Night Baseball, you can see what it looks like to try and hit a 97 MPH fastball from the pitcher who leads the league in strikeouts by a 16-K margin as of Monday morning.

So here’s the video that’s going around Twitter of Edmundo Sosa trying and failing to make contact with a pitch. The reaction time necessary, my goodness!
