San Jose: Police seek help in finding March hit and run suspect
SAN JOSE — Authorities shared surveillance footage Monday of a vehicle whose driver they believe to be involved in a San Jose felony hit-and-run collision that left a bicyclist in the hospital with major injuries in March.
Police say the collision happened March 18 around 12:40 a.m. on Park Avenue, just west of Barack Obama Boulevard. A woman on a bicycle was hit from behind and dragged by the vehicle for about 400 feet, causing major injuries that led to a hospital stay.
On Monday, police released video of what they believe to be the vehicle that a suspect motorist was driving at high speed. The vehicle appears on the footage to be a black SUV or crossover sedan. No license plate is clearly visible.
The vehicle was last seen traveling on San Carlos Street, police say.
