I’m a mum-of-two and both my kids came out in two pushes with no tearing – anyone can if they follow my labour hack
A MUM has revealed how both of her two babies came out in “two pushes” with no tearing and she’s shared her “trick”.
In a video, the woman shared how most people could follow her method for an easy labour.
They wrote on their @biscottibabies account: “I had two babies using this method of pushing and had them each out with 2 or 3 pushes with no tearing.
“Here is my secret: Cough before you go into the hospital and focus on what muscles you used to cough in your abdomen.
“Use those muscles to push.”
She recommended that you should focus on these muscles and not the ones you use to poop, which is often advised for women in labour.
Her video has racked up nearly 100,000 likes, and people were quick to take to the comments.
One said: “I’m not even pregnant but I just coughed to see what muscles i used.”
Another added: “The muscle to cough and the muscle to sneeze! Thank me later.”
A third commented: “My secret is to not push at all & to let my body do what it needs to. My boys slid right on out with no pushing & no tearing.”
However, one person hit back saying: “This is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read, if you’re a ftm [first time mum] please take this with a huge pinch of salt.”
The NHS website says: “Work with your body, listen to what your body is telling you.
“Your midwife may feel she can help you with this. Try to relax your pelvic floor muscles and not hold your breath while pushing.
“As the baby begins to emerge, stretching the perineum, the midwife may ask you to stop pushing. Panting can sometimes help you with this.
“Either slow panting or gentle blowing (just hard enough to make a candle flame flicker) will allow the baby to emerge slower and the midwife will be able to control its arrival whilst trying to avoid tearing.”
