The 2023 NBA Finals will tip off on June 1 with the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat set to decide this year's winner of the Larry O'Brien Trophy. If you're aiming to watch every game, we've got you covered with a complete guide on how to livestream the NBA Finals.
Every game of the NBA Finals will air on ABC and ESPN3. In addition, Game One will also be simulcast for ESPN+ subscribers ($10/month). The NBA Finals broadcast team will feature play-by-play announcer Mike Breen, with color commentary and analysis provided by former coaches Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson, and sideline reporting from Lisa Salters.
The Nuggets will play in the NBA Finals for the first time since the team joined the league in 1976. Led by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, their regular season campaign earned them the top playoff seed in the Western Conference and home court advantage in the finals. The Miami Heat became just the second team in NBA history to reach the NBA Finals as an eighth seed after a series of playoff upsets that included wins over the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.
How to watch the NBA Finals in the US
You can watch the NBA Finals on ABC via broadcast TV, cable, satellite, or any live TV streaming service that carries the network. You can also stream the games via ABC.com or the ABC app if you log in with a pay-TV provider.
The NBA Finals will also stream on ESPN3 via ESPN3.com and the ESPN app, which you can watch if you have internet service from one of ESPN3's partner providers.
If you don't already have access to ABC or ESPN3 you can use a live TV streaming service like Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, FuboTV, or YouTube TV to watch the NBA Finals.
Sling TV is the most affordable option, and there's currently an offer to get your first month of service for just $20. Sling's Orange plan doesn't include ABC, but it will give you access to the NBA Finals through ESPN3. Meanwhile, Sling's Blue plan does include ABC, but only in select cities.
What if you're not in the US?
If you're not in the US right now, you might be in a location that doesn't have streaming access to the NBA Finals. Thankfully, there's an easy solution with a VPN. A virtual private network, or VPN, will let you livestream the NBA Finals through services like Sling TV no matter where you are, while also providing a more secure connection.
Our top pick for the best VPN service is ExpressVPN, and new members get a 30-day money-back guarantee.
