Volunteer trail maintainer injured on Appalachian Trail in Kent
A volunteer trail maintainer was injured on the Appalachian Trail in Kent on Thursday.
Connecticut State Police, Encon police and firefighters from multiple departments responded to a portion of the trail shortly before 10 a.m. to help the injured person who had tripped and fell, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
A DEEP spokesperson said a volunteer trail maintainer suffered non-life-threatening injuries. EnCon police assisted in getting help out to the trail volunteer.
