Coronation Street spoiler for today June 2, 2023: Evelyn Plummer ready to take shock action for Roy Cropper
ROY Cropper has encountered serious health issues in recent weeks and Evelyn Plummer had to step up to get him the help he needed.
But tonight in Coronation Street, she finally lets her guard down, ready to make a shock confession.
ITV viewers were on tenterhooks when Roy Cropper (played by David Neilson) began to suffer from severe chest pains during recent trips to Weatherfield.
He initially turned to Dr Gaddas who was ready to book him into hospital for more tests.
However, things took a horrific turn while he was walking his dog Freddie and Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) had to call an ambulance.
Thankfully for fans of the Manchester-based drama, the beloved character was diagnosed with angina and arrived in hospital just in time for a life-saving operation.
Roy narrowly escaped the worst and his health is on the mend.
But before he was taken to the operating block, the café owner feared he may never see his loved ones again and left Evelyn with a series of letters destined to them.
The no-nonsense Evelyn let her curiosity get the best of her and opened the letter addressed to her – only to find out the extent of Roy’s affection for her.
During tonight’s trip to the cobbles, Evelyn is touched to realise how much she truly means to Roy.
She decides to head to the hospital to admit her own feelings but, once she gets there, she’s put out to find Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) at Roy’s bedside.
