I’m an interior designer – I never visit chain furniture stores, shop like a professional with my easy tip
AN interior designer said when it comes to buying furniture, she values quality over popularity.
The expert revealed the places she never shops and where to turn to instead.
Corinne Victoria (@corinnevictoriadesign) is a Virginia-based interiors guru who started her own studio to guide those hoping to elevate their space.
In one video, she said the trendy home chain stores aren’t always the best places to shop, as they can be low quality and repetitive.
“Where to buy furniture,” Corinne began.
The first store she shut down was Pottery Barn, saying you should look to one called Lee Industries instead.
Corinne said West Elm isn’t her go-to either, as she opts for furniture from Sunpan instead.
While Restoration Hardware is known for its luxury dining tables and comfortable couches, the entrepreneur said CFC will do you better.
And the last brand she mentioned was one that many turn to for slightly more affordable items – Perigold.
Corinne said CVD Shoppe is much better.
As for where to buy art to adorn her walls, she wrote in the comments that Wescover is the best.
Although some commenters noted that you need a designer or business license to shop the brands she prefers, Corinne noted that her online store will allow you to purchase from those retailers directly.
As for why she favors them, she said she chooses to use vendors where she knows every piece is of high quality.
Viewers supported her take.
“Love my Lee Industry living room chairs,” one person praised.
“Thank you for this,” added another.
