Disneyland lets Soarin’ riders skip the line for free — here’s how
Disneyland has added another attraction to its lineup of often-overlooked single rider queues for those looking to jump to the front of the line without paying extra for the Genie+ line-cutting service.
The Soarin’ Around the World single rider line has returned at Disney California Adventure, allowing solo riders and visitors willing to break up their parties to skip the bulk of the queue and fill in empty seats on the attraction.

The hang gliding flight simulator in the Grizzly Peak section of California Adventure takes riders on a world tour of the Swiss Alps, Great Wall of China and other international landmarks. The ride often reverts to the classic Soarin’ Over California during the annual Disney Food & Wine Festival at DCA.
Soarin’ joins a handful of DCA rides that offer single rider lines — including Radiator Springs Racers, Web Slingers, Incredicoaster, Grizzly River Run and Goofy’s Sky School.
Space Mountain at Disneyland brought back its single rider line in March — joining Matterhorn Bobsleds and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run that also offer the line-cutting option.
Indiana Jones Adventure and Star Tours have had single rider lines in the past, but currently don’t offer the perk. Splash Mountain often used a single rider lane before the attraction closed in late May for a yearlong transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Many of the single rider lines disappeared when Disneyland and DCA returned with reduced capacity restrictions following the yearlong pandemic closure of the parks. The introduction of the paid Genie+ line-skipping service that replaced the free FastPass service also forced Disneyland to make periodic adjustments to the lineup of attractions offering single rider lines.
The nine current attractions with single rider lines at Disneyland and DCA all happen to be upcharge Lightning Lane rides — and among the most popular attractions at the parks.
Disneyland charges an additional fee for front-of-the-line access to 20 Genie+ rides and a separate fee for individual Lightning Lane attractions. Using the single rider lines allows visitors to skip the bulk of the queues without paying the upcharge fees.
Soarin’ Around the World, Web Slingers, Incredicoaster, Grizzly River Run and Goofy’s Sky School and at Disney California Adventure and Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disneyland are all included in the Genie+ service starting at $25 per day.
Radiator Springs Racers is among the most popular rides at the parks that are not included in Genie+ service. Prices vary for the Individual Lightning Lane attractions like Radiator Springs Racers — typically ranging from $12 to $25 per ride.
