Pakistan Allows Barter Trade with Iran, Afghanistan, Russia

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has authorized barter trade with Iran, Afghanistan and Russia on specific goods, including petroleum and gas, to bypass Western sanctions on those countries and ease pressure on its declining foreign exchange reserves.

The Ministry of Commerce said Friday that its order, the Business-to-Business Barter Trade Mechanism 2023, 'shall come into force at once.'
