Bloomberg: US Secretary of State Blinken set to visit China in coming weeks

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken intends to visit China in the coming weeks.

It is noted that Blinken may meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The report said Washington is looking for ways to resume high-level contacts with Beijing despite tensions in the relationship.

Earlier, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said the United States and the PRC were expanding channels of communication.

Chinese Defence Minister Li Shanfu warned that the China-US conflict would be an “intolerable disaster” for the world.
