Reward offered for information on fatal stabbing of SCSU student in New Haven
A $25,000 reward has been offered for information on the fatal stabbing of a Southern Connecticut State University student in New Haven in October 2022.
The New Haven Police Department announced the reward offering during a news conference Wednesday, saying investigators are hoping to identify the suspect who killed 29-year-old Nico Saraceni on Oct. 10, 2022.
According to police, Saraceni was found suffering from stab wounds after officers responded to Whalley Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Saraceni, a graduate of Newtown High School, was a student at SCSU at the time of his death. He transferred there in the fall of 2021 from Keene State University in New Hampshire.
New Haven police on Wednesday said a $25,000 reward has been authorized for anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest in the case.
