Iron Sheik death updates — Triple H and The Rock remember WWE legend on Twitter as cause remains unknown

THE Iron Sheik has died at the age of 81.

The legend’s official Twitter page released a statement Wednesday announcing his death.

The wrestler, whose real name was Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, leaves behind his wife of 47 years, three children, and five grandchildren.

Tributes for the WWE star have poured in on social media as wrestling icons pay tribute, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who remembers him as “Uncle Sheiky” in a heartbreaking video.

Triple H wrote: “The legend. An all-time great performer and WWE Hall of Famer who brought his character to life and transcended our business. My condolences to The Iron Sheik’s family, friends and fans.”

The wrestler’s cause of death has not been disclosed.
