Tata Steel has teamed up with Germany's SMS group to innovate into low carbon steel making process at its integrated steel plants to reduce CO2 emissions by over 50%. The firms will conduct technical discussions and hold Joint Industrial Demonstration of the EASyMelt, an electric-assisted syngas smelter, developed by SMS group. Tata Steel welcomed the opportunity to lead the Indian steel industry's decarbonisation journey.
