NETFLIX fans have been left ‘scared to press the play button’ as the epic new series of Black Mirror finally arrives.
The series is back for its sixth season on streaming giant Netflix after four years away from screens.
With a whole host of stories to tell, the show’s legendary creator Charlie Brooker has tested the limits once again including a storyline that features a dystopian rip-off of its broadcaster, Netflix.
And despite the excitement surrounding the new series, viewers have been left nervous to press play.
On social media, one wrote: “Black Mirror is stressing me out… I’m scared to press play.”
A second fan echoed: “Ngl I’m scared to press the play button for some reason.”
A third person added: “Anyone excited to watch the new Black Mirror tmr? I’m like excited but lowkey scared at the same time.”
A fourth penned: “New Black mirror tomorrow why I am kind of scared,” and a fifth agreed, writing: “I wanna watch Black Mirror on Netflix but I’m also so scared.”
An A-list cast has been confirmed to head up the show ranging from Salma Hayek and Aaron Paul to Kate Mara.
Netflix recently released a first look clip at the new series leaving fans delighted.
Alongside a short montage, the tweet read: “Joan is Awful. Loch Henry. Beyond the Sea. Mazey Day. Demon ’79.
“Five new episodes. Five new nightmares. Black Mirror S6, coming this June.”
Black Mirror is a dystopian anthology series with each episode being its own self-contained story.
The episodes usually revolve around everyday life being infiltrated by futuristic technologies which often have grave consequences for those involved.
Before becoming a global success on Netflix, the series began on Channel 4 in 2011 where it remained for two years.
It moved to the streaming giant in 2016 where it became one of its first mega shows and received critical acclaim and attracted attention from all over the world.
