India and UAE are in talks to sign an MoU for electricity interconnection and trade. The countries are exploring the possibility of connecting their grids through undersea cables in an effort to exchange renewable energy. A proposal for subsea cable grid connectivity is under consideration by the Cabinet. India and the UAE are looking at cooperation on power market, clean energy investment, and knowledge exchange.
