Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors: Could Lego Batman appear in the The Flash?
Welcome to the Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors, a brief recommendation on betting from For the Win’s resident non-bettor, Cory Woodroof.
If you’d rather bet on your internal clock waking you up in the morning for a meeting than you would bet on a baseball game, you’ve come to the right place.
Our latest Weekly Bet for Non-Bettors will take a look at the brand-new Flash film, which is hitting theaters on Friday.
The film will not only give the speedy superhero a first standalone project, it will also mark the return of actor Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Keaton will play a major role in the film, but will other Batman actors appear in the multiverse-ready project?
We already know that Ben Affleck will reprise his Bruce Wayne/Batman, but what about actors like Christian Bale, George Clooney and Val Kilmer? Could Will Arnett’s Lego Batman even make an appearance?
We’re going to say that Bale -500 odds of not returning, as it doesn’t really seem likely that he will ever play Batman again if Christopher Nolan isn’t involved. Don’t count on him popping up in the multiverse.
Clooney could pop up, as we’ll give him +500 odds of returning. His take on Batman was goofy enough that it could fit into whatever they’re trying to do with The Flash. Kilmer also gets +500 odds, as he also appeared in a Joel Schumacher Batman movie.
It’s not necessarily a lock, but it’s definitely not out of the realm of possibility that those guys make cameos.
As for Lego Batman, let’s say +10,000 odds. Lego Batman really seems like his own thing. In a magic world, putting $5 down on a Lego Batman appearance in The Flash could make someone very wealthy.
This week, we’re recommending you bet $5 with Gotham City Sportsbooks for Lego Batman to make an improbable cameo appearance in The Flash.
While we’ll have the 2023 NBA Draft to focus on next week, it’s worth making an imaginary bet on Batman this week.
