0

The mum of one of the Nottingham attack victims has called the killer an ‘evil, monstrous person who will face retribution’.

Emma Webber said at a vigil her son, Barnaby Webber, will ‘not be defined by his senseless murder’.

He was found stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday alongside Grace O’Malley-Kumar, 19, as they made their way back from an end of term party.

School caretaker Ian Coates was found dead a short while later after he was knifed and his van was stolen.

Emma said: ‘The monstrous individual who has shattered us will not define us, but we know he will receive the retribution he deserves.

‘However this evil person is just that, he is just a person.

‘Please hold no hate that relates to any colour, sex or religion.’

Three other people were also injured in the attack.

‘All they were doing was walking home after a night out, and this person must face justice – it is so unfair.’

Ian’s family, wearing Nottingham Forest shirts, said he was a massive football fan who ‘loved his family’.

His son said: ‘My dad has touched the hearts of so many people over the years, more than we even realised .

‘We are still dealing with what has happened, we haven’t taken it all in.

‘But we want to say he was an avid fisherman, Nottingham Forest fan and he loved his family’.

They were then met with Forest chants and cheers.
