Watch Matthew Fitzpatrick's delightful reaction after a hole-in-one at the U.S. Open
Matthew Fitzpatrick has famously tracked every single golf shot he’s hit since he was 15 years old. When he goes back to enter the data from Friday’s round at the U.S. Open, one shot will certainly stand out among the rest.

The defending U.S. Open champ notched a beautiful hole-in-one on the par-three 15th at Los Angeles Country Club, dropping his tee shot just high of the pin and slowly rolling it back into the cup.
It was a masterful golf shot. The only thing better was Fitzpatrick’s reaction.
He was nearly halfway out of the tee box when the roar of the crowd caused him to look up just in time to see the ball go in, leading him to unleash one of the biggest smiles you’ll ever see.

It’ll be an expensive night at the bar for Fitzpatrick following this one but that reaction makes it all worth it. It’s the third ace at No. 15 this week after Sam Burns and Matthieu Pavon accomplished the feat during Thursday’s opening round.
If Fitzpatrick comes back to defend his crown, this may be remembered as the catalyst.
