Shaky day on Wall Street, Dow Jones drops 109 points

NEW YORK, New York - Enthusiasm for U.S. stocks petered out Friday, whilst elsewhere in the world, strong gains were recorded.

Despite the Fed pausing interest rates on Wednesday, investors are now looking forward. A positive consumer sentiment reading from the University of Michigan Friday signaled the Fed's rate pause might not be long-lasting.

"Consumer sentiment lifted 8 percent in June, reaching its hi
