Haiti faced off against Qatar in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup on Sunday, June 25th. An early score in 20' by Yusuf Abdurisag gave Qatar an early lead. However, after a penalty in the box, Haiti's Duckens Nazon was able to score the equalizer in the 45'. In the second half both teams played a gritty defensive game, until, Frantzdy Pierrot broke free in extra time and scored the game winning goal for Haiti. Ultimately, Haiti came out on top, 2-1 over Qatar.
