U.S. Senators to automakers: don't remove AM radio from EVs
WASHINGTON, D.C.: Major US auto manufacturers received a letter this week from two US Senators requesting that they do not remove AM radios from new electric cars.
Senator Ted Cruz, the top Republican on the Senate Commerce Committee, and Democrat Ed Markey, who also sits on the panel, sent letters to BMW, Volkswagen, Tesla, Mazda, Polestar, Rivian and Volvo. The Senators asked the automakers to pledge by July 7
